Mailerguard, part of Trafficshare B.V., respects the privacy of whomever whose personal data are processed by Mailerguard, including specifically those of visitors and users of the website www.mailerguard.com (in the following referred to as ‘the website’). Mailerguard considers the diligent treatment of your personal data of great importance. Mailerguard will process your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and the Council of 27 April 2016).
Mailerguard processes the personal data you provide to Mailerguard yourself, such as in the event of:
- Phone or e-mail contact;
- The sending of a message by way of one of the contact forms on the website.
In case of phone or e-mail contact with Mailerguard or in the event you send a message through the contact form on the website, your personal data is processed by Mailerguard to the extent necessary to implement your contact request.
The processing of personal data referred to above is permitted according to the law on grounds of your giving implicit permission for it by contacting Mailerguard.
In addition, Mailerguard processes personal data if and to the extent this is required on grounds of a legal requirement or court order, as well as on the so-called legal ground of ‘legitimate interests’. By legitimate interests is intended, for example, the detection of (attempts at) unlawful and/or criminal behaviour directed at Mailerguard or third parties, for instance in connection with the use of the website. Also intended by legitimate interests is the processing (which also includes the storing) of your personal data by the hosting provider of Mailerguard, to be able to operate the website and e-mail facilities of Mailerguard.
Mailerguard stores your personal data in the Netherlands, or at least within the European Economic Area ("EEA"). To the extent Mailerguard outsources the processing of personal data to a third party, Mailerguard will take the necessary steps to guarantee that your personal data will be sufficiently protected. Such steps comprise, in and to the extent required by the law, the application of a processor agreement with such receivers to make sure that they take the same or comparable technical and organisational measures as Mailerguard, so that your personal data is sufficiently protected.
Cookies used by Mailerguard
You have the right to request from Mailerguard the perusal, deletion, and rectification of your personal data, as well as to limit the processing that regards you. In addition, you have the right to object against the processing and you have the right of data-transferability. That means that you can submit a request to Mailerguard to have the personal data that Mailerguard processes on you forwarded to you or to an organisation specified by you.
To the extent the processing of personal data is based on permission obtained from you, you have the right at all times to withdraw this permission, without thereby impairing the legitimacy of the processing based on the permission prior to its withdrawal.
You can submit your request by e-mail (moc.draugreliam@troppuS) to Mailerguard. To make sure that the request was made by you, Mailerguard asks you to attach a copy of your ID to your request. Paint black your photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the bar with numbers on the document), document number, and social security number (BSN) on this copy. In order to protect your privacy. Mailerguard responds as soon as possible, but in any event within four weeks, to your request.
You have the right to file a complaint to the monitoring agency of ‘Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens’ or in case you reside or are established in another country than the Netherlands, to the monitoring authority in that location.
Retention of personal data
Personal data is only kept by Mailerguard for as long as this is required in view of the purposes it was obtained for. Mailerguard implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to secure personal data against loss and against any form of unlawful processing. These measures, also including encryption by way of a SSL-certificate, guarantee, taking into account the state of the art and the costs of the implementation, an appropriate level of security in view of the risks that the processing and the nature of the data that is to be protected entail. The measures are also directed at preventing the unnecessary processing of personal data.
